Druk path trek is one of the most popular and short treks among the treks in Bhutan. This trek links Paro in the west of Bhutan with the city capital Thimphu and the journey can be started either from Paro to Thimphu valley or vice versa. This trek takes you through the magnificent natural landscape, beautiful pine trees and gorgeous huge swathes rhododendron during the spring season. It also goes past through several remote lakes near beautiful snow-capped Himalayan peaks at altitudes ranging from 2400-4200m. This trek also offers you with a great view of Mt. Gangkar Punsuem, the highest peak in the world and mount Jomolhari. The highlight of this trek is when you reach Phajoding monastery where you will be mesmerized with the stunning view in the morning, truly a treat to one’s eye. The best times to go on a Druk path trek are March-June or September-November.
Day 1- Trek to Jele Dzong
Day 2- Trek to Jangchulakha
Day 3- Trek to Jyenetsho
Day 4- Trek to Phajoding
Day 5- Trek to Thimphu
Day 1- Trek to Jele Dzong

You will start your trek from the Ta Dzong (National Museum), Paro. The first day of your trek will take you through the beautiful blue pine and fir forests. Once you reach the ridge below Jele Dzong, you descend about 100m to the campsite below Jele Dzong.
Day 2- Trek to Jangchulakha

Duration: 4-5 hours approx.

After breakfast starts your trek to Jangchulakha. The trail takes you through thick alpine forests and beautiful rhododendron. Magnificent views of mount Jhomolhari can be seen from the trail.
Day 3- Trek to Jyenetsho

Duration: 6 hours approx.
Lunch: Picnic
Overnight: Camping
During the 3rd day of trek you will be taken through a long and narrow trail and if the weather favors you, the beautiful view of the valley can be seen on a clear sunny day.
The trail takes you through a lake, Jimilangtsho. After you pass through the lake, the trail ascends till you reach your campsite.
Day 4- Trek to Phajoding

Duration: 6 hours approx.
Lunch: Picnic
Overnight: Camping
The trail passes just above the lake Simkota again through the stunning rhododendron.
The trail continues through a gradual climb with the views of the mountains. As you walk through, then you descend to Phajoding monastery where you will see the beautiful view of Thimphu city far below and surely a treat to one’s eye after a long trek.
Day 5- Trek to Thimphu

Trek to Thimphu after your breakfast. It is a downhill walk through the natural green and blue pine trees where at the end you will see our transportation vehicle that will take you directly to your hotel for a hot shower and a nice lunch. The remaining time for you to rest or leisure time.
